Dear Art Friends,
It’s hard to believe it's already August. August is always a fantastic month to see and purchase art. In this newsletter, I’m highlighting a couple of opportunities to see my art throughout the metro Denver area and online for those not local to Denver. I’ve also been working on my upcoming September solo show, and that process has given me a lot of fodder for why I make art. I want to share the rough cut with you. Here is a postcard from my heart to yours.

Paperworks 2024
Paper is my favorite material, and oh my, it was a huge honor to receive a first-place award in the International Paperworks 2024 show. Juror and Research Fellow at the Museum of Modern Art’s Cisneros Institute in NYC, Julián Sánchez González chose a compilation of my pocket notes pieces for this award. This show is incredible; click below to see the beautiful work of participating artists through August 2024.
Cold Wax Medium International Juried Exhibition
This show takes place online through the end of August, and I am beyond honored that my piece, “Torso,” is the second-place selection. Here is what juror Dan Addington wrote about my piece in his juror statement:

On Edge 2024
My piece “Controlled Burn” was selected for Edge Gallery’s 2024 Annual Juried Show with guest juror Jim Robischon, owner and director of Robischon Gallery. This show runs through Sunday, August 18th. For more information, visit here:
2024 Fiber Art Colorado
I have two pieces juried into the Depot Gallery’s Fiber Art 2024 show. I was captivated by the breadth of work at this show’s opening reception and can’t wait to return during its run. If you love fiber art, this show is worth checking out through September 7th.
Curtis Center for the Arts
I also have two pieces in the 41st Annual All Colorado Show at the Curtis Center, which runs through August 31st.
NKollective
Come see Elissa Quist’s beautiful show, “Them,” through Sunday, August 11th, along with art from the rest of the gallery’s participating artists.
Summer Art Market 2024
I am thrilled to return to the Art Student’s League of Denver’s Summer Art Market on August 24th and 25th. This is my biggest show of the year, and I am counting down the days! I’ll be in booth 31 with my talented buddy and favorite art booth partner in crime, Rebecca Berman. Please come say hello! Stay tuned for more info closer to the event.

I’ll introduce a new collection of work for my September solo show, “Raw Materials.” The show opens on Friday, September 20th, at NKollective and will run through Sunday, October 13th. I’ll share more about this labor of love in next month’s newsletter.
